History and Meetings – In May, 2006 voters in the eastern part of Travis County voted to create Travis County Emergency Services District No. 13 (ESD 13). ESD13 contracts with Bastrop/Travis County Emergency Services District (https://www.bastroptraviscountiesesd1.com/) for first responder and fire services. Austin-Travis County EMS responds to medical emergencies. To pay for this protection, ESD13 assesses an ad valorem tax which is adopted each year. The current ad valorem tax rate is $0.10 per $100.00 valuation.
ESD13’s Board Meetings are generally held the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Fellowship Hall, 17808 Lund-Carlson Road, Elgin, Texas 78621.
