Control Burns

CONTROL BURNS – Residents of ESD13 may have a control burn if Travis County is NOT
under a burn ban. Check the Travis County Fire Marshal’s web site for the status of burn bans
(https://www.traviscountytx.gov/fire-marshal/burn-ban) and guidelines for burning
(https://www.traviscountytx.gov/fire-marshal/prevention/safety-tips). It is also suggested you
call Elgin Volunteer Fire Department at 512 281-4025 to notify them of the location of your
control burn.
